Srinagar, Jun 02 (KNO): As arrangements for Eid-Al-Adha are being made in place across Kashmir division, Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi Monday said a smooth and well-coordinated festival preparation is being put in place for the people.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of a review meeting held at the Waqf Board Central Office in Srinagar, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Dr Andrabi said they are committed to providing fool-proof facilitation for the people during the festival.
“A coordinated roadmap for ensuring all requisite facilities for the people during Eid has been finalized. All arrangements are in place at major sites across Kashmir division and we have worked closely with government departments to make sure everything runs smoothly,” she said.
She also addressed environmental and hygiene concerns related to the sacrificial process, saying the public must handle sacrificial remains responsibly. “I request people not to throw sheep intestines, skins, or any sacrificial waste on roads or in public places. These materials should be handled with care and disposed of properly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene during the festival,” she said.
Moreover, as thanking the administration for support, Dr Andrabi called on the public to cooperate with the Waqf Board management during the festival. “Together, we can ensure that Eid-Al-Adha is observed peacefully and respectfully across Kashmir,” she said.
Notably, the review meeting was attended by officers from different government departments, Waqf Board officials, and religious scholars—(KNO)
